Where I sinned, I repent. Where I ignored Your warning, forgive me.But repentance is not the end of the story.Peter failed, but Jesus restored him.David failed, but mercy found him.John Mark walked away, but later became useful again.Paul carried a painful past, yet declared:“By the grace of God I am what I am.”Failure has consequences. Trust may need to be rebuilt. Apologies may need to be made. Accountability may be necessary.But you do not have to build a house in your shame.You can repent, receive God’s grace, learn from the fire, and get back up differently.So today we declare:My failure will not have the final word. My shame will not have the final word. My past will not have the final word. God’s mercy will have the final word.And even if the fire has your fingerprints on it, you can still pray:“God, don’t waste the fire.”Teach me through it.Refine me through it.Transform me through it.I cannot change yesterday, but by God’s grace, yesterday will not keep reproducing itself in my tomorrow.Let my testimony become:“I failed. God confronted me. I repented.
