The Pan African Parliament has dismissed any assertions that it's independence might be compromised by funding received from the European Union. The EU is believed to have injected a multi-million euro bail out into coffers of the cash strapped PAP. The initiative is a result of a 2015 draft declaration on the European Parliament's technical support to PAP . The money is set be used to fund the operations of the parliament including fact finding missions on the continent. Senior political journalist Amos Phago reports
