Panamint Nash

from Tonto: Tales of the Lone Ranger · host OTRPODS

Originally Aired: February 18, 1938The Lone Ranger #790, "Panamint Nash," the masked rider stops at the home of Amy Holcomb near Needle Point to water his horse Silver. There he learns about the bitter and reclusive Panamint Nash, a crippled man who rules over his extended family in the Bend Country and forbids any contact with the townspeople. Amy also tells him about Sheriff Bob Frawley, a young lawman driven by a lifelong vow to avenge his father's murder by tracking down a left-handed, limping outlaw known as Wildcat. The Lone Ranger's interest is piqued when he spots the sheriff riding with Lindy Nash, Panamint's daughter, who are clearly meeting in secret against her father's wishes. As the Ranger heads toward the Nash property, he overpowers a guard and positions himself outside the house to eavesdrop. Inside, Panamint confronts Lindy about her meetings with Sheriff Frawley, suspecting her relationship with the young lawman. The tension escalates when Bob's description of his father's killer—a left-handed man with a limp called Wildcat—raises disturbing implications about someone close to home. The Lone Ranger must uncover the truth behind this decades-old murder and the mysterious hold Panamint Nash has over his family.
