Apparel, furniture and home appliances once served as the iconic "old three" of Chinese exports. Later on, the "new three" – electric vehicles, lithium batteries and solar panels – became the backbone of China's export growth. Now, China says the new "new three" – AI, robotics, innovative drugs – mark another upgrade in its industrial landscape. What is new about the new "new three" compared to the "new three"? How far can China go in its rise as a global tech power?
