Panic attacks can be like sinister and cursed intruders. They present themselves as winds that, over time, unleash waves of intense crisis in your mind. They tear your attention away from the present and, progressively, fill you with contaminated thoughts, thus feeding the acute feeling of anguish. You feel trapped, like you're going to die. Those moments are sweaty and heartbreaking, and I know facing them sometimes seems impossible. However, we can learn to master them, and that is the challenge.You must face it bravely, but also train your mind, heart and spirit to know how to calm yourself. Not everything is solved with a pill. Today, I don't want to trivialize this or confuse you, but one of the fundamental ingredients to mastering a panic attack is breathing and prayer.Breathing and prayer may not completely eliminate the waves, but they will help you surf some and seek shelter. It is crucial to accept that panic attacks are a reality, but not a defeatist resignation. You can face them with creativity and determination.Total defeat only happens when you completely give up. At that point, you can take fear and make it your ally. Learn to combat anxiety with prayer and experience the peace that only God can give.Worrying too much about tomorrow shows a lack of faith and a narrow view of life. God always provides, and through faith, we can combat panic attacks and learn to control anxiety, achieving true freedom and happiness.Entrust your anxieties, sadness and anguish to God. He will transform any weapon in your life into something positive. Pray that God will free you from enslaving thoughts and worries, and that His love and peace will replace your fears.Remember that it is possible to overcome panic attacks. Face each one, accept them and learn to manage them. Stabilize yourself, practice breathing, meditate and seek the necessary support. You can live without them.
