Panic Disorder: A College Student's Recovery Story

from Eating Disorder Spotlight: Stories, Providers & Resources · host Caise Rode McHale, MSSA, LISW-S

"I completely erased my plan & started living by the seat of my pants."  G is a 19 yo college student who tells us exactly what she experienced when her life flipped upside down thanks to the onset of panic attacks. G was paralyzed and overwhelmed at first, but she’s a true fighter who already tamed an eating disorder 2 years prior.  She does not relent, and between sharing with others, returning to therapy & medication support she learned about anxiety.  Then she started to ride the wave, finally creating the ultimate exposure for her fear, going solo to costa rica where yoga and solitude taught her how to sit in her own space & allow what comes, even if it's panic.  Thanks for listening!
