Panthers OL Struggles Expose QB Pressure | Carolina Panthers News

The Carolina Panthers’ offensive line stumbled in a joint practice against the Texans, with first-round pick Monroe Freeling and others struggling to contain Will Anderson Jr.—Young’s former Alabama teammate. Young himself was under constant pressure, completing just 9 of 17 passes and throwing two interceptions. With key tackles Ikem Ekwonu and Taylor Moton sidelined, the unit’s shaky performance exposed lingering concerns despite recent preseason progress. Young admitted it wasn’t a good day but stressed the need to learn and improve. The team will face the Texans again in their final preseason game—but starters, including Young, won’t play, shifting focus to depth and development. The real test comes in Week 1 against the Texans on September 13th, where the offensive line must deliver—or risk another rough outing for Bryce Young.
