Paola Velez of Bakers Against Racism at Charleston Wine + Food 2022

Paola Velez is a pastry chef who founded Bakers Against Racism during the pandemic. Through grassroots bake sales across the globe, the initiative has raised over $2 million and is currently offering support to Ukraine, and particularly the Afro-Ukrainians, African university students and Caribbean university students struggling to flee from war.
