Paperhouse (1988) with Bernard Rose and Matthew Jacobs

from ROGUE COMMENTARY · host Rogue Commentary

Hello! Welcome to the very first edition of Rogue Commentary, a brand new bi-weekly podcast featuring exclusive audio commentaries for cult and classic movies from the people who made them (and other interesting people).  We kick off with a classic British horror movie "Paperhouse" (1988) and we're delighted to be joined in this inaugural episode by director Bernard Rose – who also directed "Candyman" and many other fine films – and writer Matthew Jacobs, who also wrote the Doctor Who TV movie and quite a few of the 'Young Indiana Jones' episodes and made-for-TV movies. You can listen to the commentary just as a podcast or cue it up to the film, starting not on the logos, but on the first frame of the film itself. (There's a cue in the episode itself.) We cued the commentary to the version of the film available on Prime Video UK – and it won't necessarily sync up with versions of the film available on other formats. And if you know of a way to solve that problem, we'd love to hear from you. Speaking of which... Comments? Feedback? Suggestions? Email [email protected]  We have lots of exciting episodes in the works, so if you like what you hear – or just the idea – please subscribe, and remember to rate us wherever you hear this podcast – it literally keeps us going. Thanks for listening! Hosted by David Hughes. Produced by Sam Ibrahim. Music by Olli Oja. All content © 2020 Synchronicity Film Ltd. All rights reserved.
