Par For The Course

In early days of the church around 200 AD, new Christians were required to do 3-years of schooling once a week outside of the weekend service. They received 144 hours of lectures on the scriptures & apologetics. They were instructed on how the truth of God stood superior to the pagan & secular philosophy in those days! These believers were minorities in a heavily persecuted society. So knowing the truth they believed in became of utmost importance. Today, the persecution and influence of secular culture around us is just as strong and we must know the TRUTH of God in order to combat the lies of the enemy. This morning we will see the first martyr of the church - Stephen. And like Stephen, we must realize that we’re bringing the hope of Christ to minds that are warped, closed & confused!
