Parable of Fig Tree Pt 2 ~ Are we the “Fig Tree” Generation?

from Hebraic Heritage Radio Podcasts · host Eddie Chumney

In the spring, there are green or unripe figs. Most of these figs fall to the ground. Spiritually, they represent the unrighteous who have no fruit. The summer figs are dried in the sun and are usually pressed for winter use. The rebirth of the modern nation of Israel is likened to the fig tree. The birth of the nation in May, 1948 is likened to the appearance of the green figs and the new leaves which shoot forth in the spring. The capture of Jerusalem in June, 1967 is likened to the first ripe figs which ripen around June in Israel. Yeshua was asked, “What is the Sign of your coming?” Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is nigh:So likewise you, when you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Matthew 24:32-33 Israel is the fig tree. Yeshua will return with the rebirth of Israel. The modern nation of Israel was reborn on May 14, 1948. Are we the last generation?
