Parable of Fig Tree Pt 3 ~ The Good Figs and the Bad Figs

from Hebraic Heritage Radio Podcasts · host Eddie Chumney

Yeshua said these words in answer to the question, What is the sign of your coming? Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is nigh. Matthew 24:32 In Jeremiah 24 we have a parable about the good figs and the bad figs. One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad. Jeremiah 24:2 The good figs represent the end of the exile. The bad figs represent the judgments of the great tribulation. I will plant and not pluck up means the end of the exile. And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel … And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, says the LORD your God. Amos 9:14-15 After 70 years is the end of the exile: ….and I will turn away your captivity and I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places whither I have driven you, says the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
