Parables — Parables on Prayer

This message moves through Luke 18:1-17 , treating prayer as a neglected practice that Jesus places front and center. The persistent widow before an unjust judge teaches not to lose heart: if an indifferent judge yields to persistence, how much more a righteous God to his children. The first call is to pray regularly for the second coming, a habit the early church kept with expectancy and one that reorders priorities, schedules, and faith. The second, from the Pharisee and the tax collector, is to pray humbly for a second chance — naming oneself the sinner rather than cataloging others' faults.
