Boy, oh boy, we've got some paramount news for you today, so let's get started. You know, it is so amazing to me how certain things come up at certain times, and it just seems so ironic that, man, how did this topic just come up and then this other thing shows up and you're like, wow, look at this. So let me tell you what I'm talking about. Just about maybe a week ago, my husband and I, we sat down and we opened up our phones and we looked at all of the things that we pay for on our phones outside of just the ability to make a phone call.

So all of our streaming services, all of our apps that we pay for, all of that stuff, we wrote it down on a piece of paper and when I tell you that thing was ugly, it was, ugh, it was terrible because not only did we write down the names of these different streaming devices and apps and all that good stuff, we wrote down how much we're paying for those things and now it's like the light bulb has come on. That's where all of our money has been going. All of every time you look at the account and you're like, how did it get so low? Well, because these little things here and there are nickel in and diamond you, you got it because something was important, it was free to start with and then it was supposed to kick in for another month and then you forgot about it.

And so it's there just taking that money every month like thank you and thank you again and thank you again and it just keeps on taking and you're like, am I really getting the benefit from this particular item? Is it worth it? Is it worth the money? And so that is what we are approaching right now.

We are coming to the point where we're like, all right, we're going to sit down and we're going to look over this list, see what we're going to keep, see what we're going to get rid of and start making better money moves, right? All of that happens and then what? Paramount comes out with its own little streaming service called Paramount Plus. So pretty much it's a CBS and a nutshell, whatever CBS had, all of that content and then some.

Is it worth it? You know, you look down the list of things that are they're already advertising like the real world reunion. I grew up on real world. I used to want to be on real world.

I created a video to submit to the real world people to try to be on their show to be one of the cast. So that has a place in my heart and I might want to see that. However, is it worth the money? Okay, so let's start by saying this.

If you had CBS all access, this is nothing more than rebranding. So Paramount Plus is the old CBS all access. And from what I understand, if you had CBS all access, then you can get a month free trial of Paramount Plus by using the code mountain. Now, because I did not have CBS all access, I cannot verify that for you.

However, if you had it, then I say, hey, try it, test it out and see what happens. Now for the rest of us who didn't have CBS all access, you can get 30 days free. Just go to the site. You can get that 30 days free all the way up until March 31st.

So definitely use it to your advantage, plan it out wisely. If you know that there's a particular show on there that you want to see, then maybe you want to hold off until a little later so that it'll take you a little bit further beyond March. If you're one of these types where you got to be in it as soon as it happens, as soon as it drops, then you should have been in it since midnight. But you know, either way, what they're saying that the price is, is that it's going to be $99 per month without ads and everybody likes without ads.

It's going to be $5.99 with ads. And then supposedly in June, the with ads portion is going to drop down to $4.99. Now what's special about June? I don't know.

But that's just what it's saying. And they're saying that both tiers, the with and without ads will feature the same selection of on demand originals and library content. So it's not like you're going to be missing out anything if you go add or add lists. The difference is the local CBS stations, the higher tier is going to be the exclusive tier.

So you'll get live CBS TV and more sports through the higher tier option than what you would get through the lower tier with advertisements. Okay, so the big question is, will Paramount plus stand out among all of the other streaming services? Because honestly and truthfully, it's 2021. Let's get serious.

There are so many streaming services out there already. So this one have any type of special little secret sauce that's going to make it be like moved all the way up to the number one spot immediately. I really don't see that simply because it seems like a lot of their originals are a little far off from being released. But you do have to kind of think back though, as far as Paramount movies, that's a part of this deal as well, even to the point where the upcoming movies, there's a couple that they've mentioned like a quiet place, part two, pop patrol the movie and mission impossible set and they are going to start streaming almost immediately after they debut in the movie theaters.

And so they're saying somewhere between 30 to 45 days after being released in the theaters, they're going to put them on Paramount plus. I don't know how that's going to work, how that's supposed to work. If that's good for the movies, I don't know. I don't get that part.

But they know what they're doing. They've figured out all the logistics and whatnot. And so yay us if that's what that means. Now as far as sports on the service, it's going to include UEF a soccer, PGA golf, NFL, NCAA basketball, the Masters and National Women's Soccer League.

And so there's also going to be a lot of news related programming as well. And then of course, you know, you've got your typical CBS shows that are going to be found on the service after they air as well. So it depends. Are you a CBS type of person?

Because if so, then you're going to love this. If you're not so much and you're not big into movies, you probably want to pass on this because what the breakdown is is that for a year with limited commercials, that's going to be $59.99. Jump on that and you're good. For months a month, it's going to be $59.99.

So there's a little bit of a savings there. Seriously, you do the math. You can go for the full year with limited ads for $59.99 or you can go month to month. If you don't think you're going to do a full year, if you just kind of really want to test it out, the $59.99 a month works.

However, once you reach 10 months, you will be nine cents shy of what they're charging for 12 months. So at that point, you'll be going over what you could have paid if you just went ahead and got the annual subscription to start with. Or scrap both of those ideas and get the zero ad version for $99.99. It just depends on what your needs are.

If you hate commercials, go for the $99.99 if you love watching movies and television. If you're not sure, go for the $59.99. As a matter of fact, better yet, go for the free. You get a free sample of it for 30 days as long as you get that in before the end of this month, before March 31.

So go for the free. Play around with it. Look at what it has, look at what it's offering, and then you decide. Make your decision if you want to do this month to month and just check it out a couple more months.

Or if you think that you are willing to make that commitment to 12 months. The only thing is, once you do it, make sure you remember that this is something that you have in your arsenal of electronic entertainment for your evenings. Because if not, then it becomes like everything else. Just something sitting there that's sucking the money out of your pocketbook and you don't even remember it anymore.

Okay. So that was your episode today of Tweet Trends. And hopefully I was able to give you a little bit of insight about Paramount Plus and I don't know, whichever way you decide to go. It's fine with me.

I don't get paid for this. So, whether you think that it's going to work for you, great. If you think that it's going to be something that is just going to be sitting there and you forget that you have it, great. Just do whatever works for you.

Do what benefits your wealth and your mental health. Just basically bottom line, do your homework. Make sure that this is something that you want to do. Because if in fact you forget that it is there, you at least want it to be a good product that you're going to get some type of benefit from.

If there is no takeaways, then you know what, take it away. Please and thank you. All right. Speaking of going away, taking things away, I would like for you to take yourself over to your computer and then call the friend and say, Hey, here's what I need you to do real quick.

Check out my girl, Hey, that's at H-E-V-E-T-T-E or just look for the hashtag tweet trends and you can find me just about everywhere. I'm on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and also on Facebook at Hey, that one. All right. So thank you for your time and your listening ears.

And I look to talk to you again on Tuesday.
