I think you're actually few days ago, but hey It's our first podcast of 2021 so it works right it does work. So did you all hear a new voice weird? We've had some bad ones Yeah, I don't mean bad in like really spooky weird. I mean bad isn't like Like cat lady bad dog man bad dog. That's it okay Wow, all right, so let it get me back to actual residential so we've done I had a lady who contacted me I got an email from her. You know She had some questions and through talking to the questions I said well do you want us to just come over and she said I would love for you to come over But I live out of state and so I said oh yeah, that's gonna be a little rough now She is a supernatural hour listener.
Yes. Yes. She's one of our listeners. So we'll shout out to you know who you are I told her what's their name?
She I said well, you know I said we live in the world in time of zoom everything. I said we could give it a try We could try a zoom investigation. I said I'll be honest with you We've never done this before so I have no idea how this is gonna work But I said what can I hurt and she said I'm game she was really cool So we set up in time and sat down in our in our awesome podcasting room here, which is where all the computer stuff is It is absolutely awesome. Yeah, she's being nice.
I said okay I said I've got some equipment sitting out here You know I pulled out this the K2 meter I pulled out the ghost meter pro and I said let's let's give this a whirl and The spirits could not connect from her house through the zoom to my equipment I mean it wasn't turning on at all But we could use the dowsing rods because my spirit guide could talk to her spirit You know and so we asked Charles might if you're new my spirit guides name is Charles and he can you know We talked to him through the dowsing rods and I said you know are the spirits in her home trying to connect to the equipment here And he said they were but it just it wasn't working to do it So they tried they gave it the good college try, but it was a no-go So we did learn that at least those spirits, you know, I'm up to try and assume Residential again, you know if someone out of state want something but just know you know, it's a little it might be dowsing rod intensive rather than Yeah, I mean we might not take any photos We're not gonna be able to do a whole lot of stuff We could try maybe stronger spirits could use the stuff. What was it that she needed help with she is sensitive with lack of being able to do a Whole lot of you know getting pictures or taking EVP you know getting EVP's or anything again It was just very dowsing rod centric, but we determined that there were two spirits in her home I hesitate because I'm making sure I don't get these two residential's confused and they both wanted to be crossed and they had been trying to get her Attention because she was very sensitive and you can tell by some of the things that she said and some of the things that she was feeling And seeing that that she was sensitive. We actually were able to Talk her through crossing them and Charles verified that they were crossed. I was kind of awesome.
I thought I've never done that before It was interesting So then we referred her to beaker for some energy healing because she felt like she had just some negative energy and some things that she needed Cleared and so we referred her to beaker for that and I haven't touched base with either of them to see how that went Probably none of my business really but you know I let her know that if she needed any other help You know you're gonna hold us again or beaker for the energy clearing now the other one rogue You actually were with us on it wasn't we hi? Do you want to start us off on that one? I was an interesting one to go out on nice young family Small little daughter two-year-old they had us come out because at two-year-old I just remember how we face that that really just sticks with me this little girl just keeps seeing Apparitions and I think the way she put it her mom said was she'd walk down the hall and just kind of look scared and say scary Halloween scary Halloween Right just I can't even imagine having my small child being terrified like we seen this family And then for them to be such a young family and the husband the dad being scared to even take control of this house was It was really kind of an odd you know I wanted to express to him you have somebody that is Teasing your child as if it was a human like you need to you need to tell him to leave your daughter alone It was that case was really interesting. We have the dog that doesn't want to come in the house We found what the demon downstairs port four holes in that house there were yes Me portals and then what I thought was interesting is we didn't encounter the dog at least I didn't encounter the dog until The very very end and we had determined there was a type three in the home We cleanse the house and where we cleanse that type three out because in the cleansing process You pick an exit point whereby that exit point on the dog was outside and it wasn't until this point We went down there and it kind of started you know barking a little bit You know not barking barking but kind of you know making dog noises so we knew it was there I was like oh they've got a dog when that type three finally went out the window that we had designated as an exit point And I didn't notice this because I was you know focused on something else But one of the other investigators that came with us as we were leaving He said did you notice that as soon as that type three went out the window the dog just went crazy about the same time It kind of been quiet and the dog went crazy and then later and I said yeah actually I do remember that You know because I remember thinking oh you know the dogs are going crazy But I didn't really put the two together until he mentioned it and I was like oh yeah Well later they let the dog in and this was a big dog the dog was you know high friend high friend You know high friend do you remember when we went to let the dog in because I was actually the one that can I please let The dog in they're like yeah But the dog doesn't ever come in that door the dog won't come in this room They were very surprised because we'd done the clearing and everything was gone and that dog came in I'll jump in happy and excited to be and I think you're the one that pointed this out to me You said to me that the owner said the dog usually just comes in the house and goes on like down He's never friendly and social when he comes in that I don't know if it was that door You're the one that talked right that downstairs area where we had the three he the owner of the house was scared to be in that room After dark so it's a it's a scary room for the humans as well as the dog by all means How long had the family been in the home or what were the circumstances behind?
They bought the home in May so they've only been in the home for a few months. So a pretty recent move in was an older home or a newer home Or just curious. Oh, it's newer is probably the nineteen ninety six or two thousand You know hasn't been there for a long period of time. So that's one of those things It doesn't matter whether they're new or older or whatever you can have a situation No, we had a brand new home about four or five years ago The yard hadn't even been put in yet.
It was a beautiful home probably half an only dollar home Usually the big nine for ceilings and oranges wood doors the family lived there for six months And then moved back into the parent basement because they'd rather live in the parent space but then in that house really There doesn't have to be some Satanists that lived in the house before you in order for there to be problems. No, no I'm moving this summer probably great Welcome over we know a guy we know people so the other interesting thing about this one is I take pictures a lot at residential, but I got some really good photos And we also got a photo of one of our other investigators that was here She's not here on the podcast we're gonna get her in on another one But she actually got scratched and we haven't had anyone scratched on a residential in quite some time And I was trying to explain to one of our other team members about the scratch But I wasn't there and rogue you were so I'm gonna have you explain this one as well Okay, this is kind of like being on an investigation with you and just throwing me under the bus exactly I'm gonna do this what I do well The team had left the home and everybody was kind of outside talking and I was the last to leave the husband reached out and said Hey, there's a member of your team that has some scratch marks on her neck You know did she have that before and I was like I don't know what you're talking about and so I yelled to the team and had her come up And we looked at him and she had three scratch marks on her neck And then after that we came down and we came and showed it to the team and we got the photos and photos and You can see those out on the I don't know that we've put them up yet. We're I think we're waiting for this podcast to get them Oh, no, no, no, no, no, we're no we're on the Facebook page there on the Facebook pages I was thinking our website. They're not on the website yet But they are on the Facebook pages and the interesting thing is we were actually just talking to her tonight And she said that and I think rogue you may have mentioned this as well It was right when we were pushing that type three out to the exit point and she kept saying I feel something walking behind me or something touching me She said she didn't feel it getting scratched and most people don't most people when they get scratched on an investigation might have like a Real slight burning sensation.
I've never had anyone say hey, I think I have just gotten scratched Usually it's you know something touched me and then they're like oh some girls their attention to it. There's a little tingling Here a burn, but never you never hear someone say I think I just got scratched at least I haven't right We also got some pictures and the pictures are not up on the Facebook pages, but we will get those up on the website Now that we've got now that we've gotten past the holidays and have a little more time But we did get some some some interesting pictures. Yeah some great or pictures the the father had that just a previous night He'd been laying in bed and one of his dresser drawers came open while he was laying there watching TV And one of those pictures that you have is right there by the dresser where you can see the orb moving around Right and typically and you'll hear say this all the time if you send us a photo with an orb and it just a nice circle Orb we don't we don't want to discount it But we it's really hard to prove if it's an orb or if it's dust or light refracting or you know We want to be really careful and make sure that we give you actual evidence and not and it's hard hard hard hard With just an orbit the interesting thing about these is I'll hold my camera up and watch and you watch where the natural dust flow of the Room is I'm moving my hands as though you can see me doing it only the people only the people in the room can see But you watch and you see where the the natural air flow is and no matter how clean you keep your home There's going to be some dust in there then as you're watching when you see things that move in different directions That the dust flow those are things that that perk up your ears and then you have to ask yourself What is it a bug and bugs typically are kind of cigar-shaped and they move and this is gonna sound really stupid You know like I'm laughing at me, but they move like bugs You know you've seen but everyone's seen bugs fly they have their their movement But you can tell when it's possibly paranormal because it just it doesn't move like a bug and it doesn't move like dust And there were so many of these and I was just I took a zillion pictures case And was with us one of our new investigators and the homeowner was you know Look everyone was not everyone but two or three people were looking over at the camera And I said I hope I got that on film. I hope I got that in the camera because I mean you can see it And I can see those in there I can see those moving and we did capture I think I've got three maybe four really good pictures where we did catch little things And isn't that the time when you actually seen something out of the your peripheral or you seen the movie?
Yes, so we were sitting in the hall doing an EVP session and I saw somebody walk out of the bathroom And it was a shadow figure. I mean it wasn't like a person It was it was a shadow but you never know and I the the wife was right there And I said is there someone in the bedroom and she said no there's no one in there And I said I just saw someone walk out of the bathroom So I went in just to make sure that you know it wasn't the husband that she didn't know wasn't there something There was no one in there and when I went in there I was starting to take pictures in the area where I saw it and as I was taking pictures Casein was doing the EVP because the spirit there was a little boy spirit there as well and the spirit that I saw was a little boy Spirit and this little boy spirit did not like me and but he did like casein and so he would not talk to me But he would answer casein's questions through the K2 meter Through the through the ghost meter pro and you know he was you know He would and I heard casein say is that you that we just saw walk out of the bathroom when the answer was yes All in all a very very very good residential. Yeah, I was very active very active very interesting a lot of a lot of things that You know sometimes you should you ask yourself, you know Did I really see that or did that really happen? So it was one of those investigations where almost everything that we did was almost instantly validated or validated shortly thereafter And those are always fun because then you know You've got your evidence and then you get a backup of the evidence in one way or another and you go Yeah, we might not hit everything But we've we've had a couple things here So right and then having it where we had how the dog was reacting and how the small child was reacting So it had a lot of different avenues, you know, yes, so so our main topic today speaking of residential is actually gonna talk about equipment today Your body is the best equipment you could use on an investigation and that's what I tell people and dogs and small children and dogs and small children Whatever's available, but I like going into a residential an investigation and even even when we do the public investigations and being able to Use your equipment because your equipment most people can see it and so not only you but your client or you know The guests that we have come on on the public investigations a lot of times you can capture that evidence, you know through a camera You can take a picture that the lights came on or take a video There's so much so many people have gifts that they can use I mean some people can see things some people can hear things You know there's different levels of empaths and mediums and you know whether you're feeling emotions whether you can see the spirits Whether you can hear the spirits I mean it's all over the spectrum But it's always nice to be able to go in on a scientific avenue to because you never know who's home you're going into you have people that might poo poo Science you might have people that poo poo the spiritual and so I like to go in with both Times you'll have one of each exactly and so it's nice to be able to go in and hit it from both aspects And that's usually how you validate it You can usually validate your scientific through the spiritual or spiritual through the scientific So you kind of think of it as the 2d bleeder ship a validator your thing and then the validator there we go That's the official word the thing the thing the thing would you say that there's two primary camps?
Are there a portion of people who will focus solely on spiritual things and then percentage of focus solely on kind of a scientific approach when it comes to Equipping I think so there's not many people that cross or I think at least on our team I mean I can't speak for all the teams and all the investigators ever But I think I think most teams try to do a little bit of both I know and I don't want to name names not because I'm embarrassed or anything But I don't know that if they want their name out there But there's a there's a team that we have worked with up north of where we are who they are fantastic with their gear Now I haven't investigated with them enough to be able to give you a full rundown But they pull out their gear and I'm in awe. It's like oh my gosh. They've got an awesome gear And then there's people that I've worked with that just come just just them and they don't bring a lot of gear because Or any or any and they do it because they can feel the spirits they can see the spirits They can hear the spirits and I think I'm in a nice mix of both is great Right. I think for me, I'm definitely more kind of science driven in terms of evidence.
You're a doctor We're used evidence and facts and things And so for me things like bouncing rods or you know I guess I'm maybe not very sensitive when it comes to feeling spirits I've gone on some investigations where people said oh there's something in that corner And I think and I could go lay down in that corner for 30 minutes and probably would feel it anything But I do think some of the equipment I've had some interesting readings or triggers that I haven't been able to explain and I find that fascinating things like You know thermally thermal imaging with FLIR or the K2 meters are all interesting things I'm sure we'll kind of dive into what each of these things are and how they operate Yeah, right so I just kind of made a list of basics So if you're gonna become a Investigator investigator words are really you know I can talk like an argument being until I sit down with a microphone in my face And then you think I've never spoken over to my life at basics if you have a flashlight and flashlights mostly just for safety I mean let's face it most of investigating is in the dark You don't want to kill yourself and I would suggest having some with a filter because if you turn on a bridal flashlight You're not vision's gone So I would suggest putting a filter on that of some sort So are these the mag lights that you can adjust or is just a regular flashlight that you're talking about at this point? Just any flashlight just so that you can turn it on and not fall down the stairs You know especially in the building that you're not familiar with which is most of the time a camera and your camera can just be the one on your phone I have gotten the best pictures just on my phone our phones are so capable of doing so many things now the recordings cameras Oh, I know you go by a new phone and you're really buying a camera is what you're buying You're buying a camera that can make phone calls megapixel qualities pretty stellar on these new phones They are they really are and then a recorder and you can have a separate recorder that you buy a bottle really fancy one That looks all star tricky wrote was just talking about a recorder that she dug up Tell us a little bit about that my old-school analog with a little um tape in there that's from an old investigation 10 15 years ago will take it out and we'll investigate on top of it But I'm pretty excited to get that old-school analog little reporter. So what got you thinking about that? Watching a pro on the program on Netflix today.
Do we want to promote that? I don't know if we do Honestly, I can't even tell you the name of it. Okay, there's a cool new one. There's a cool new show on Netflix I think it just came out today.
It's it's something death Don't you call it death experiences or something like that death? Anyway, Netflix death show There was a Netflix death show and anyways It's like four or five different episodes and one of the episodes is about paranormal Investigating and they had an investigator on there and she pulled out her little recorder and I was like I have one of those and I stopped immediately and went and found it and put it in my kit put fresh batteries in it as if that's gonna matter, right? Yeah, they'll be drained any time. Right.
We've all learned about batteries But we're gonna try it out They even mentioned on that show that she'll put two of those recorders out and sometimes only one will pick up the voices and the EVPs Where the other one doesn't so she uses that as evidence Interesting a little different than your digital, you know today digital. I was looking at it going am I gonna be able to buy little tapes for this? Like do they even make them anymore? eBay right you'll have money they probably have on Amazon Those little tapes are cute.
Exactly So there's also digital recorders on your phone just the one on your phone I mean honestly your phone has a flashlight your phone has a camera your phone has a recorder if you have a smartphone You got everything you need and I think our phones will even do like night vision and different different things like I have an iPhone 11 It has three cameras on it right and your phone it can take stills it can take video You know someone's gonna say I just have a phone I don't feel like a real paranormal investigator and that's up to you You know the equipment ranges every I mean I even have prices here So let's start out with with just some basics So just for safety sake if you're you know you should never ever ever go stunt by yourself because you never know if something's gonna attack you and if something You want someone there to help you get out of that situation and you're walking around in the dark and you might fall and get hurt And there won't be someone to send you to the emergency room. Right. So So that's why I like to take talk with us because we know something happens he can save our lives I got you he can bring us back from the dead that's what his daughter says That's what she says I do for a living so tell him that story that because I love this story Oh my kid was at school and one of her friends was kind of bragging about her dad and said my dad makes macarons And my daughter looked at her and said oh my dad brings people back from the dead And I was like dude, I'm not running for Jesus. You're probably like over over like stating what I actually do But I'm glad that she you know she's the idea and hey she's probably so Delicious, I love macarons.
They're really good and they're kind of pretty too. Okay, so but as far as safety goes walkie-talkies You know on residential we don't necessarily use walkie-talkies because we're usually you know in fairly close proximity But in our public investigations where we're a little bit more spread out sometimes we use walkie-talkies and they've been very very useful We used them at the cemetery one that we did in Auckland right and we had five groups and 65 acres And is that going to prove any paranormal activity? No, but we want you to be sick So if you're gonna be spread out or separated from each other have a walkie-talkie now actual stuff If you want to get an actual digital recorder that's different from your phone There's a myriad of them out there and they range you know from very cheap to very expensive I have a more expensive one. We will not talk about how much it costs over the years.
There we go But I got looking on Amazon just because if Amazon doesn't have it you don't need it Just kind of the average run of the mill price was about $50 You know there were some that were on the cheaper end some more expensive But like I said just kind of average mean about $50 for a digital recorder I will say if you're going to use a digital recorder do it in short bursts because it's easy to sit down and listen to 10 or 15 minutes of audio But if you forget it and leave it on and you have to listen to eight hours of audio That's painful. You'll never sit down and do that and you can say all this in 10 minutes at a time It doesn't happen, but it's easy to listen to five or ten minutes here and there and say no nothing there No, nothing there Then a whole bunch so the other thing that I would suggest we're kind of doing the smaller price things first But an emf detector or what we call a k2 and this is the one with the little rainbow lights on it I've used that one. Yeah, and Like anything you know humans go with certain humans most of them some humans like certain things and some humans like Oh, I hate avocados for example Chad loves avocados. So when we go to a restaurant guess who gets my avocado?
Avocados are good. No, they're not there's most disgusting food on the planet. Oh, they're so creamy and soft chips Green gooey goodness. No, no, no, I just line me on the outside a little bit.
Hey, I'll do you pull them out Yeah, but we've known as even spirits some spirits like the lights some spirits don't like the lights And so we will usually when we go to an investigation lay out five or six different things and it's not hey look at how cool We are with all of our equipment. It's like what are these spirits might interact with? Because it's not the same every time no we went to a home in American fork And this has been years and years ago everybody there said they're a k2 meter on the table They were probably five or six k2 meter sit on this table and we were asking questions And we weren't really getting any interaction finally Someone told the homeowner because the homeowner was who was hearing the voices and and having you know most of the interaction And he would ask questions that every single k2 meter on that table would light up clear to the red at the exact same time All of them all of them not just one every single one at the same time when Raven or I rather people were asking questions It was like yeah, there's might be a might be a bomb There might be a deal but he did it and it was like it was amazing the responses that we got on those equipment and all of them They were within two or three of each other. Yeah, and the k2 meter measures electromagnetic frequency, right?
Yes, just that there's no other inputs that go into the k2 meter correct now You do have to be careful with the k2 meters because your phone can light them off Your I mean if you put it up by like for example We were at Marcus's warehouse and several years ago and I'm standing at the top of the stairs and it just pegged to red I was like whoo look I just picked a red there's something here and then I look over and there was the Breaker box. I was like oh It might be generating some electricity So usually when we go into a house That's the first thing I'll do is take the emf meter the k2 meter because you just want to see what the ambient emf in the home is We have an investigator whose home is one of them that we went and investigated early They had crazy em, but they had those huge power lines in their backyard. It was like yeah, it's like okay Things are at yellow just normal and this tool is officially worthless today, right? So yeah, so we use that just to see what the what the base level in the home is we had a client again several years ago Who was pretty sure there was a spirit in her closet, which is actually pretty common believe it I don't like to hang out in closet space closets crawl spaces.
Yeah, if I'm gonna hunt your house I'm sitting in the lazy boy in front of the TV with the remote Corn or something they come downstairs and there's a bag of like posse grid in the microwave. Holy hell. We've got a ghost in here Not that interested in your old shoes I don't know I might try to shoes on if they're good looking at me. There's a shoe thing there We went in her closet and it turned out that in this home It was like in a four-plex and the Wi-Fi for the whole building ran up through her closet And so we were able to say because emf does give you a creepy feel it can make you Sensitive to the electronic frequency, right?
We could put Chad and probably dock in there and they'd feel nothing but wrong I might right we would feel those creepy so that's a good one to have and I've noticed that if you get a younger spirit We'll talk about child spirits one of these days I have issues with child spirits to a certain point the the child spirits that we have run into and there's a pause there for a reason again This is for a different podcast, but it seems like the younger spirits tend to like those to watch those play a little bit I do believe in child spirits. I just have a couple caveats So we'll have to keep listening for our child spirit episode I show that I was watching on Netflix that was just brought up One of the tools that they use is they've got these little cat toys that are really sensitive to movement and they light up I thought I was gonna get myself some of those because of the children that we do run into you I thought those kind of look fun and it doesn't take much you know to move it or to light it up So it would be easy for a child to maneuver right now If you have listened to our podcast back when we very first started in the old days I got a boobear and the boob I think that's what they're called boo bears and it's a teddy bear and it's supposed to be an emf It looks like a teddy bear so that the child spirits aren't you know scared by it because it's just a teddy bear right? What gets are scared by teddy bears? None someone's listening when my son's terrified.
No, but most kids aren't We have taken the several places and not gotten anything on it You know where child spirits are supposed to be that being said we took it to asylum 49 in Twila And there are two child spirits there. I believe they're there because I heard them and everybody on our team at the time heard them Audibly we heard an audible EDP there We were sitting at the table in a conference room where these child spirits tend to hang out and we were talking and we've been doing You know EDPs and trying to get them to move things and I think We kind of just checked out from it and we're just kind of shooting the breeze for a minute And we heard some kids in the hallway I have children and as a mother as a father after a while it and docked into test to this they get chattering and you can just block Them out first I didn't think much of it and then I thought wait a minute and you can hear in our recording I said did you guys just hear some kids and everyone's like yeah, but we were there I think the youngest person in our group was 21. It was midnight when I thought there were no children in that building That's like holy cow. I hope someone got and so we went back and I think there was two or three maybe four recorders going on And I think one or two recorders picked up but everybody in that room heard it It was awesome But we tried to get them to light up the boob bear and just the way the boob bear was it I don't know if it's mine or just all of them in general But they had a hard time, you know, they said they were trying to light it up But they couldn't light those up.
I'm really glad that you explained what a boob bear was because my thought process was going to completely direction there a boob bear not a boob bear thing goes to maybe like boobs. I don't know I'm their human right some of them. That's fish That's exactly what we're using to talk with children. You just bear with the boobs on it got it Food source little kids maybe taking a primal just say it.
Yeah, we can't take these people anywhere So you have to checkers You have to take theirs again on Amazon just kind of you know Doing a run so you can get this for about thirty dollars If you're looking to do kind of some budget stuff that work and work really well I would look into getting a k2 meter with a little rainbow color and I got rainbow colors I'm getting like colorful rainbow lights. It's like Christmas every day a thermal camera now I have to tell you we had the opportunity of Christmas time to get a new piece of equipment I had in my my short list was thermal camera and Infrared video and again if you're listening to the podcast you're not gonna be able to see what I reveal I got the infrared video camera because we really need to start taking more videos as a group that is gonna be amazing However, and it comes this isn't this even had the little case on it. There's a little case I'll show you later a little bit of a little bit of a picture of this up on the website the thermal camera Oh, it was it was really a toss up so thermal camera is absolutely next Those can run anywhere from a hundred dollars to like a thousand dollars It kind of depends on on where you want to go But there were several several nice thermal cameras in like the two hundred dollars range So the ones we got from the cameras that we got earlier the cameras we got earlier went the thermal camera No, those are like infrared cameras. Those are infrared full spectrum cameras But this one's video it's actually a vlogging camera Vlogging a vlogging like a video blog.
That's what I Interested so and it's got a microphone on it. I'm pretty stoked. That'll be fine Yeah, wait till it's done as far as having that extra spectrum of light the infrared Is it common to find apparitions or ghostly activity in those and that spectrum that the human eye usually can't pick up? I don't know because we have it personally used by a very often so we will let you know we don't find out I have not really so because they sell them because they sell them.
It was like a designated ghost finding infrared camera Well, I think it just goes along with the science of okay, you know in real light What do we see in infrared light? What do we see in what in all these different lights? What do we see right visible light in terms of what humans can see is a very very narrow spectrum of light And so I guess potentially you could open up possibilities if you're listening to this podcast you probably watch several different Ghost investigating shows we won't name them all we won't poop who or hype up any per se right now I have watched several different shows where they've used different lights to record and even use we're kind of doing You know infrared and thermal detectors at the same time thermal is going to detect heat And I've seen some pretty compelling things that things that other groups have caught on camera I've seen some pretty interesting thermal camera stuff, and I'm sorry. Okay.
Here we go. Here we go I have you probably seen I'm on tiktok there are tiktok videos where they do thermal cameras and they catch people farting because farts are a little bit warm So I figure if you can catch a fart on a thermal camera, maybe you can catch a ghost on a thermal camera Well, they're quite a theory So yeah, so I got a tiktok and look for a thermal camera for yes the assessments, right? It's kind of it's kind of cool to watch in a creepy dement sort of way You can also light farts on fire right a little tidbit there for y'all We've had just enough going on. I'm not sure what I'm gonna make for the meme for this podcast We could go on a lot of different actions All right, that kind of leads into a thing called a connect now if you're a gamer you've probably heard of connect I'm gonna box.
Yeah, yes So they would use it as you know you could use your body and kind of Dancing it up for dancing games exactly well Xbox kind of discontinued it didn't take off like they thought they did but ghost hunters said hey We might be able to use this elsewhere and I've actually seen this one of the guys on our team has one of these and I'm not sure What it's called and I apologize for that, but it's and I don't know if it's an app I don't know if it was a piece of equipment. I don't think it was an app I think it's a piece of equipment, but what it does is it picks up movement like a motion detector But it will show the movement on like a tablet as a stick figure and we went and did a brewery up in Salt Lake You remember this Chad and there's there's two brothers on our team and they had this and we caught oh probably two or three four Times in this building there were stick figures on their screen pointed in an area where there were no people I have seen something like that on one of those ghost hunting shows on TV But that's pretty cool when that happens yeah, and I thought you know when they brought it I was like you know But when I saw it in action because I had seen it on a go show as well But when I saw it in person I thought I don't know I was kind of like that grid that you pulled out on that one investigation That we did I was wondering about that was what I was expecting from the grid Right and that's another piece of equipment So you can just use you can get these on online just the laser grids and I honestly don't know what you'd use them for the Christmas lights you've seen them as Christmas lights all Christmas Oh the red and green ones of people are just cast on to their house like the really old people that are afraid They're gonna break a hip if they actually hang up Christmas lights They just like stick the thing in the ground and shoot it up at the house. Yeah, gotcha right But I mean before that because that hasn't been I don't know I'm like is that what that was that you hooked up that has Amazed me all this time is just yeah, but I bought it before it was a shine on the house thing Okay, but anyway mine's green apparently you can get them in blue and red I kind of want a blue one or purple one Oh, I wonder if they come up purple. I didn't know you had a cat.
I do right Yes, you do so our cat can come in the Dog door, but is incapable of going out the dog door if human beings are in the hall And then again at four o'clock in the morning. Yeah, but if we're gone He can navigate both ways, but he's a one-way dog door cat if there's human beings in the hall So at some point he's gonna be out. I just want to go back out even though he just came in the parent So yeah, and he's huge he is a very big cat taking to the vet and they chuckle because the cat weighs more than my dog I was gonna say I think you're cat smaller than your dog though. Not the little dog No, not the little dog the big dog that can't fit through the dog door Yeah, we have our animals are insane our big dog.
Okay, so back to the Back to paranormal stuff. So the grid so the idea of a grid and these grids when I bought mine They were ten dollars. They've got up there about fifteen dollars, but you just turn them on it It's a light grid and the idea is if a spirit walks through it You're gonna get a distortion in there and we did a residential not too long ago where we set one up towards a basement area And as I looked at the pictures of it I need to look at a little closer I haven't posted these because I haven't had time to debunk them But there's places where I mean most of it just shows dots But there's several places where the dots kind of streak and in one area you look at the streaks and you go Okay, those are just kind of bouncing off the doorframe and you know And it's the doorframe distorting that because the laser lights just hitting it just wrong But there's a couple off to the right where you go. I don't see what's distorting that So before we get too excited and post those I need to I need to give them some more looks and some more thoughts and make sure that it's not Distorting off of anything, but that's the idea of those and one of my very first investigations I was actually a guest on someone else's public investigation and we were at Fort Dogg West And I said who wants to sit in this room all by themselves with this light grid and they pointed at me Would you like to I said no because I was too terrified.
I was like oh my gosh I was such a wuss But light grids were one of the first pieces of equipment that I was introduced to and I kind of like it because it's only $15 So if you're on a budget just starting out not sure you want to put a lot of money into this yet That would be a good one as well as far as the thermal cameras the connect the infrared night vision cameras Are gonna be you're gonna look you're looking at two three hundred dollars for those Have you ever looked to see if there's an app on your phone to make your phone be an infrared camera? I have not but I'm sure it can I actually had one on remember I got that video the video talk about that video it was at the same house where the K2 meters went in American fort four Five years ago and the video that I got and I just pulled up an app from that place door And it was a night vision video app and it was amazing the kinds of things that it showed and you could see oh in that home There was one male spirit and two female spirits and you could see in that video links walking Yeah, and it was weird because it was you know the night vision on it wasn't dark dark But you could see the additional things and and there was a floor in the living room There was a thing that went down into the basement I mean not the basement but a crawlspace it was a wood square that was in the thing that they had under the rug remember that yes There was just activity in and around that almost the whole time. Yeah Chad doesn't get rid of anything so it's still kicking around somewhere But you can see legs in there walking back and forth like they're pacing and if I remember right can you see like skirt Swishing or was it just like there was just like I think it was the one that really stood out right towards the end of the legs But there were things that were moving a theory only there was movement Yeah, it was it was that investigation to this point in my career. It was the most fascinating investigation I've ever done wasn't that all it was amazing the next thing is a spirit box Yes, I have never seen you use one.
I've been on a few investigations I keep my fingers crossed and it never ever comes out. Okay. I will bring it out just for you I have a spirit box I personally don't like them to give me the creeps so a spirit box that the thought process behind this is it's a Piece of equipment that sweeps through radio waves and you can set it for different speeds And you might get four or seven or eleven I don't remember exactly what the numbers are because I never use it right like 15 per second It cycles through and you can adjust it a little bit and the idea is it cycles through fast enough that you'll hear little blips and leaps from Radio's but if you get a voice that goes over two or three four different channels Then it's the spirit talking to you and the spirits using the energy to talk to you through this But the static makes me nervous and makes me anxious. So it's just that sound that makes you uneasy Yes, yes, so we've had this we've had this conversation before and I'm gonna go back to this Netflix show that I watch today And when she was using the little analog recorder that I have what she was using for white noise Is she turned on the water faucet and she allowed the water coming out of the baucet to become the white noise and she felt like that that white noise Helped her get better audio and see water also, and I don't want to say proven But provides energy provides energy because you'll see you'll get a lot of spirit energy around water You know waterfalls water wheels so that that makes it's almost like a two for Energy right so faucets if you have a sink take a sink with you on your best right in spirit boxes I don't know to me it almost seems like a and this is my thing But to me spirit boxes are like a an audio Wegibord and anything can come through and so they kind of freak me out Which is why I don't use them But I have been but I will use one just for doc for the next time he comes on an investigation with us I appreciate that Thank you because the one thing I have noticed when I have been on investigations with spirit boxes is you start to recognize the same voices Oh really because you'll hear a voice say you might say how many people in the show when you hear a voice say five You'll count you like oh, yeah, there's five but then you'll hear that same voice again What do you know?
So you know and it's like I mean you start to recognize The same voice you know and you'll be like oh, that's that woman again or oh that's that creepy sound and man again Or that's the name I give to people creepy sounding man high-pitched voice lady You know and spirit boxes again those run on the lower end They're about about $70 for spirit box again on Amazon and we'll talk about some other places you can get stuff But these are just you know, I did just some quick research. Let's hop on Amazon type and things see what's available Yeah, and I know with that one definitely there's the apps on the phone right now There's an ovilus which is similar to a spirit box But the in this one ghosts don't speak directly into the box like they would a spirit box on this one The box has the ability to manipulate phonemes. You know what a phoneme is. I did not tell any search No, you better tell me I was like a phoneme I don't even everyone's listening is like phoneme This is what it is to be good It's just basic simple speech sounds or groups of sounds and when ghosts talk We don't have a lot of energy They don't have a lot of power but the box an ovilus is supposed to be able to pick up little bits and form them into It's kind of like predictive speech, but for ghosts It's pretty good text does this take does this take I don't know if this is the ovilus or this is another device where you'll take like room temperature And electromagnetic frequency a bunch of stuff trying to combine it to make a word is that this?
There's something that does that I don't know if that's the same thing No, because I don't have an ovilus because they're about thousand dollars So I don't know I never use them But there's well, there's something that uses temperature we'll get to any minute But I don't know if and it might be a combo that's what I was trying to figure out But on that note I was thinking you know I don't trust people to do simple math let alone be able to like we'll adjust the temperature down add a little Electromagnetic frequency and come up with a word you know what I mean right some a little skeptical just with that setup that I mean, I don't know how it goes would operate it Yeah, so this one is supposed to this one shows you words on screen now Chad had an app that he pulled up It wasn't the obvious but on his phone. Yeah, it's a little app. I think it was supposed to underpro or something It's interesting because these these were generating apps and the obvious I'm kind of with you doc I'm skeptical because even the one that the chat had every once in a week You know, he will be doing the investigation he'd be in the background You know just telling us words that would pop up and it's like okay styrofoam that has nothing to do you know pencil There were a few times that we had some very every once in a while we'd have an investigation where the words that came out were Just bang on what we were doing and so for me the jury's kind of out about about 90% of the time It was just pretty random, but there were a few times and you go Oh, that's just you know a broken clock right twice a day But I don't think it was that kind of a situation because it was it was too on spot for what we were doing Right, and then when we did get the on spots It wasn't just like a one-time thing we get you know three four words in a row that made sense And then you'd get some gibberish and then you'd get but then we'd have whole investigations where it was like just turn that off That's garbage. I guess my skepticism I've seen some of these ghost hunting shows will it be like what's your name?
And then the word to pops up is like tabioca. Oh tabioca, and it's like that's a stretch, right? Yeah, and you know, maybe she was a stripper. That's right Go rope Okay, so I have never heard of this one before there's there are a few new little bits and Bob since I've purchased things last And when I was online wait that was like the 27th of December when you purchased things last I'm talking before that I was like As I was looking for things to purchase this Christmas before that it's been a while since I've purchased I'm surprised that we got more than my two days without buying something on Amazon in my house Amazon And I have to tell Amazon I just put it over there Tell them about the first time I asked you about Amazon yeah He was trying to decide if we were gonna get Amazon primer not in college man.
Do you use Amazon a lot? Let's set this up. We've been married about two months. Yeah, not very long and I was like Dang I'm in trouble Already and I'm thinking you know, will you use Amazon enough to make it worthwhile to get prime?
Yes, yes, and that was when she figured out that she wasn't in trouble That was her answer was yes. No, like if the UPS band drives past the house that doesn't stop I'm like, what are you cheating on me? Where you going come back here? I know there's something on that box.
Okay, anyway, but there's something called a paranormal music box Have you guys heard of this before? I have no all the paranormal people listening to this or like are you getting this But now for so many years you're lame No, I've never heard of the paranormal music box before but it has a motion sensor that plays music when it's touched So rather than beep because there's like a rim pod and the idea of a rim pod is when When it's crossed, you know, it's got like an antenna on it and when a spirit touches it That's off this horrific beep, but the paranormal music box will let off tinkly music They say it's especially good if you're looking for child spirits or maybe a spirit that's a little more curious You know, what is this you know one that's more apt to play with your equipment? Does it play like 80s ballads or creepy carnival music? I want creepy carnival music because that's what my fun plays if you call me you get creepy carnival music on my phone Not much like you two or anything Probably not.
I don't know it's about $400 So I don't know that I'm gonna be trying it out anytime soon because that's a little steep But that sounds fun actually one of our favorites is a ghost meter pro and if you buy one of these you want to be careful Because there's a ghost meter and there's a ghost meter pro and the ghost meter pro is better It acts like a k2 meter a red light comes on and there's a dial and you have to kind of watch the dial for the clicks It gives you the best information But most spirits in my experience have been able to manipulate and like that better than the k2 meter I don't know why but we can you can ask yes, no questions through it It's one of my favorite ones and the idea behind it is when a spirit touches it it just closes the circuit So was it at that investigation where we did the bible where you were asking the questions with the dowsing rods and the ghost meter pro was Pretty much in sync. I believe so or you were there. I was at that one and that was that investigation right? That was yeah, that was one of my first and it was interesting again It's kind of the idea of the more spiritual kind of gift with the dowsing rods and the ghost meter pro and working in concert together I thought that was quite interesting.
Yeah, and that's another reason why we'll often set out several different instruments is because you will get that validation And you'll get that you know confirmation. Okay, the dowsing rod said this your k2 or your ghost meter pro said something different It's like okay, well, maybe we need to you know, let's ask those questions a different way or let's do some clarifying so we can get a consistent answer This is the device. It's good for like yes or no questions like the blink one for yes blink twice No, we'll kind of hear it click and it'll take it and it'll light up, right? Yeah, you've seen that at family tree Yeah, and that's one that investigations often if we've got a new investigator We'll let them take that or if we're on a public investigation Let someone in the public use that because they're it's pretty easy and it's a great visual and say that yeah It's a great visual you get the confirmation from the lights and the clicking and then again This one if you hop on Amazon, they're about $50 So, you know kind of in that more affordable range If you're not willing to come put on the money right now if you're just testing out things and they rest up pretty good because they're not very expensive And they're great to have in your kit.
It's interesting with these devices Just the the way that you interface the way that you interact with it can be very different where you've got your spirit box You're gonna ask very direct questions and maybe get a direct answer right where you know with the ghost meter pro It's got to be binary right. It's got to be like a yes or no kind of answer to answer what's your name? Yes And it's that's actually a skill set it takes a while to learn how to ask questions to To be able to get an answer I've had people say how do you come up with a question? She goes like because I've done this forever and you get to the point where you you know You've asked so many questions and you've done so many but yeah I remember when you first start you're like what is your name?
How old are you but the more you do it the better you get asking questions But I have found myself this recently as our last investigation looking at a k2 meter and saying what is your name? It's like oh wait wait wait I guess you're not a question right and you know the ghost is like you're an idiot Yeah, yeah, I know so here's the one that you were talking about there's a millimeter Male meter and your mill meter is one that's going to it's going to give you a myth It's going to give you temperature readings and then there's an I have one I just don't use it very often simply because everyone kind of gets their favorites and what they like next I'm one We'll pull it out as well, but it also measures gals gases gase gase gase gase gase Every every every paranormal person listening to this is shaking their head going why is she talking about this? She doesn't don't because I never use it but there's a couple different things that measures I have one I just need to I need to play around with it a little bit more and well that one that one will produce the word no That would just tells you what the readings are this one when I use this It's if I want to watch for a temperature drop because the idea of a spirit comes the temperature is going to drop or the temperature could Raise and so you kind of when I use it I have used it for the temperature Yeah, you should be bringing that one out that would have been a good one to have out on that last case We went on like yeah, it would have so remind me because and it's very sensitive to minor temperature Flexuation so yeah, it will it will give you you know fractions of a fraction so that'll give you temperature reading But if you had something like a thermal camera, right and I think my millimeter because you'll get a lot that are kind of combined My millimeter has a REM pod in it as well I mean and the REM pod is like the music box except instead of circus music or you to it gives you It is like screams at you. It's not a buzzer beat.
That would be so intense really annoying Yeah, it does which is part of the reason she doesn't use it. Yeah, but it has you just put out like this little antenna thing It's got lights at the top. It's got all sorts of stuff liars and lights and things That one we should have had is out at when we were in sound So remind me to pull it out because I just sometimes I get lazy because I like what I like I know I can tell you always pull out the same things and now I'm knowing that there's other special goodies in there that I need to bring a Box of stuff. I just only pull out two or three things you have like two boxes of stuff.
Yeah, I do But you know what I have a ping pong ball you do And the idea with the ping pong ball is it's light enough that the spirit could move it if it was strong if I hadn't the energy And I still have not had anyone with my ping pong ball other people on the team have had their ping pong ball Box bounce downstairs and mind your crust or room. Mine just sits there like a slug That's disappointing. Anyway, but the ping pong balls we got they printed the wrong we got ping pong balls with wisps on it But they put I'm not even gonna tell you because I don't want anyone to get mixed up on our website But they put the wrong website on it Have to make a sticker for that Pong ball will be out of balance and it'll move on its own. Oh, no, so we got to display So we've got dowsing rods which the idea is the spirit uses your energy and uses those through you extra batteries Extra batteries is not going to prove anything, but you do need extra batteries Also, we went and did an investigation pulled out the dowsing rods This is in south Utah county and the guy looks at me and he goes hey, you got witching sticks The old witching stick and he worked for the city water department.
He says we use those all the time to find water I've used them to go find gold. Yeah, were you successful? That's the question. I'm sitting here Not successful.

I would also say take a notebook with you So you can jot down not so that when you're sitting down talking about residential is in your podcast that you have all the information and you're not hemming and And throwing broken to the bus. Yeah, the seat is great So we talked a little bit about full spectrum cameras and videos already. Here's another one vibration detectors She's waiting It took a minute I thought here comes was this We're also just going somewhere else trying to keep this a family program.
Okay, so vibration detectors I have never owned one, but I can't remember if it was castle or beaker or both I think it was maybe it was both at one time had one and we did an investigation up in a building in octon We're actually in the basement. It was an app on their phone. Geofon. That's right.
I'm right down to see if they still have it I have it online. Okay, so but it lights up that changes colors and it would pick up vibrations And it would just you know change colors of things combined if I remember right I think we got a little bit of activity on it So those are pretty cool. Like I said, there's all sorts of different combos. There's ghost box with evp recorders There's millimeters with rim paw.
I mean if you can think of a combination you can probably find it online They'll sell you anything Now there was one more and this one I've never heard of it before so between the paranormal music box and this one This was called a hygrometer and it reads changes in humidity and it's thought to be an early warning sign of a spirit So if if it didn't really explain if if it was a drop in humidity, I would imagine it would be a gain in humidity because the spirits got mass Misty like their moist. I have it worked very good You've had some success with the fun success But I don't know so the idea is you get a maglite one that just twists on and you turn it's just barely barely barely Not off And the idea is when the spirit touches it it will finish that connection And we did one of our as a group one of our very first residential was in pace and then we talked to a spirit and she loved the flashlights And we talked to her for 15 minutes. Oh, no, we talked to her for probably an hour I mean it was and it was very intelligent You know it was if yes flash the left one twice and it would come on twice if no flash the right one once it would flash I mean no matter what little I don't want to say command but no matter what Combination you asked the spirit to do she would do it.
It was phenomenal We chatted with her for probably the same house. We're through was thrown around. Yeah, she threw a wood block at castle While he was sitting and she was a very playful ghost. Oh, okay She was very playful very active on april's day.
She ganked one of the kids out of bed That's terrifying You went into the bathroom and she liked to turn the clock sideways and you could go in the bathroom and you could see on the wall Where she turned the clock and you could see where it had scraped paint on the wall I mean and they loved her and she was fun. We had a great time with her That was probably the last time I've had any really good sense at the Broadway theater with some people Yeah, but it's still pills compared to the first well you have phenomenal ones or everything else is going to yeah But in my defense one of the my flashlight I think is really stiff because I've put a green lens and more than a red one in the other so I can say turn the green one on turn the red one on And I think the red one is just that there's something wrong with it It's really stiff. I need to get different ones. I need to get really loose loose ones Well when we did that investigation with the bible you pulled them out and they worked we were getting some communication with them on that case I mean with with your flashlight you need to be careful because there'll be times where you know You can tell that they're playing with them because they're turning off and on but if I'm not getting Any consistency then I tend to just put them away.
It's like you're just playing with this. We're just we're gonna get something else up So as far as where can you get stuff? I've said Amazon like 500 times. It's quite a powerful one and it really lives up to its name It's claimed to cleanse the body by drawing bad environmental energies You know if you're out, you know breathing bad air or whatever it is living in Utah. Yeah, basically Oh, it's awesome. You know or you know smoke from fire fires or you know, whatever and it helps improve circulation It helps cleanse out all those impurities keeps get your blood pumping as far as more spiritual emotional mental things It encourages selflessness. It encourages creativity It kind of boosts your idealism while helping you live within the moment So you can you can live your life, but you can kind of see a bigger picture It can also help you get rid of feelings of irritability aggressiveness and impatience and I can be impatient So this might be a good one for me.
That's a good stone for the whole world to share this time and day. Oh, no, right? Wow So paranormal bucket list, what do you think in there doc? Paranormal bucket list so I like to travel and one of the places I've wanted to go is willow creek, California I've never heard of willow creek and the reason why I want to go to willow creek, California Because this is where like the most famous Bigfoot footage was taken.
It was not the one where he's on the side Yeah, you know like side profile Yes, the one everybody knows Okay, and so after that video You know was spread around the world this city this town of willow creek just kind of embraced the Bigfoot phenomenon They have a big foot museum there. We go see like plaster, you know, big footprints They have a big foot hotel a big foot restaurant where you can eat a big foot burger I don't think it's actual Bigfoot meat. It's probably a substitute of some sort Likely beef, but this isn't California. So maybe it's tofu I don't know but it's a big it's in northern California further north kind of in the you know the forested areas up there and It's a little out of the way, but it's a place I think would be fun to go to a bunch of Get a bunch of photos with all the bigfoot stuff.
Maybe roam around the woods. See what I'm in California You could get Winchester mystery house, too. Oh, yeah, like a tofer. Yeah, so I mean there's lots of other places I would go but that is one of those places right there I like the fact that they bought into this Bigfoot thing I don't know that I believe that they saw Bigfoot, but I'd like to go and just kind of embrace what they've built in that town Well, I guess we'll close it up with talking about getting our merchandise and our swag from the supernatural hour I saw a Doc's mug.
