Kuri Yasuno is an author who wrote about her experience raising her autistic son in her book, Autism with a Side of Sushi. Having moved here from Japan when she was younger, she used to get teased for being different, especially different food. However, she noticed how sushi became more mainstream later in her life, which is the level of popularity she wants to see autism at. We talk about her being raised in a foreign country, our experience with autism, and how she goes about being and an advocate for autism.
