The truth is life usually doesn't mirror a fairy tale with a dashing and honorable prince. On the contrary, often relationships are forged between broken people who transfer their trauma rather than transform it. In order to save our girls, we must teach them to love themselves and that their worth is not dependent upon them males with whom they have relationships. Most critically, teach them to never accept malicious disrespect and abuse.
