(Parents) Protecting Your Children: Lessons from the Jayceon Charles Tragedy

The Jayceon Charles tragedy is a parent's worst nightmare. Jayceon is an eight-year-old boy who is currently in ICU in Arkansas. The child had gone to a sleepover as a healthy and happy boy, but now he is barely alive with burns over 80% of his body. According to Jayceon’s parents, their beloved son called them while at the sleepover, and hung up the phone. When they called back, they could hear their son screaming. They rushed to the home of the sleepover and found their son’s body severely burned, covered with Vaseline, and wrapped in plastic. 911 was NEVER called. NO ONE HAS BEEN ARRESTED.
