Paris Daillencourt Is About To Crumble

from Queerly Popular · host Mychel D Vandover

Welcome to today's episode of Queerly Popular! Today, we are talking about the book Paris Daillencourt Is About To Crumble, which is a book about a man (Paris) with generalized anxiety disorder (diagnosed late in the book) who is taking part in a baking competition and meets Tariq Hassan. It's a fun book, but not one of my favorites. I enjoy the characters and definitely feel for Paris, but it's not a book I'm returning to over and over again. We start by talking about the structure of the book before getting into the story. I also spend some time talking about how Tariq did (and did not) handle Paris' anxiety well over the course of the book. This book is part of a series, but each book seems to be a standalone book and I haven't read any others, so I can't tell you anything about them. We will be back on October 30th when we will talk about the movie Beautiful Thing. As always, please rate and review the podcast on whatever platform you listen to it on.
