Charles Kynard - Superstition (from 'Your Mama Don't Dance' album, 1973 / Mainstream) The same Stevie cover, taken from another fantastic album, and featuring an incredible set of musicians too: Chuck Rainey on bass, Arthur Adams on guitar, Paul Humphreys on drums, George Bohannon on trombone, and, of course, the mighty Charles Kynard on organ. Dee Dee Bridgewater - Sex Machine (from 'Live at Yoshi's' album, 2000 / Verve) Recorded at the legendary Bay Area jazz club on April 1998 in Oakland, this electrifying scat take on James Brown's classic is exhuberantly full of life and sheer energy. Don Randi - Bang, Bang (from 'Live On The Sunset Strip' album, 1966 / Reprise) Written by Sonny Bono for singer-actress Cher in 1966, and covered the same year by pianist Don Randi in a trio setting, recorded at Sherry's in Hollywood.
