PARIS — Pacers throttled by Wemby & the Spurs
from Fieldhouse Files: Scott Agness on the Indiana Pacers · host Scott Agness
PARIS — After four days between games, the Pacers returned to action Thursday evening ... in Paris. That's right, part of the NBA Global Games. It was the first of two against the Spurs, who had a home-like crowd due to France native Victor Wembanyama. He had a complete game: 30 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 blocks. I am the only Indy reporter in Paris for the trip — so here's my postgame recap from Accor Arena, where a sold-out crowd of nearly 16,000 saw the Spurs’s three-point halftime lead balloon to 30 when the final buzzer sounded. They outscored the Pacers 45-23 in the third quarter and the Pacers did not respond well in a 140-110 blowout loss. Much more coverage to come… ----- Follow Scott on Twitter and Instagram, and read his work on fieldhousefiles.com.
