Mathieu van der Poel secured an impressive solo victory at Paris-Roubaix, adding to his earlier 2023 Milan San Remo triumph. After a series of attacks and a key collision at Carrefour de l'Arbre, van der Poel capitalized on rival Wout van Aert's puncture to gain an advantage and ultimately win the race. Despite the intense competition, van der Poel expressed sympathy for van Aert's misfortune and praised his team's performance, with teammate Jasper Philipsen finishing second.
