This season we’ll be focusing on Community Food Centres in Ontario, and speaking to food security experts, as well as community food centre staff and board members. On today’s episode we’ll be speaking with the staff and board members of Parkdale food center in Ottawa. Parkdale Food Center’s vision is for Ottawa to be a place where everyone has the means and opportunity to live a healthy, connected and fulfilling life. We’ll be speaking with Karen Secord and Erica Braunovan, who are staff of Parkdale Food Centre, as well as Landry Kalembo and Deb Abbott, who are board members of Parkdale Food Centre. Together we will delve into discussion about good food, social enterprises, innovations and the achievements of Parkdale Food Centre. These interviews took place over zoom during stages one and two of Ontario reopening in response to COVID-19 during June to August 2020.
