Parroquia de Atahualpa

Esta parroquia anteriormente constituyó Habaspamba y formó parte de Perucho hasta su parroquialización en 1984, donde adoptó el nombre de Atahualpa, en honor al Inca quiteño. Asimismo, este territorio perteneció a la Cultura Caranqui, de la cual aún se pueden encontrar montículos artificiales de tierra.
