Parsha Panorama - Shemos: Was the Exodus Just One Big Set-Up? 🧐

from The DataBeis with Rabbi Yehoshua Eisenberg · host Yehoshua Eisenberg

A panoramic view of Parshas Shemos with a focus on the following questions: ● Was the Exodus just one big set-up? It seems that our relationship with Hashem today is premised on the Exodus. Because of the Exodus, we are forever bound by His Torah. Hashem rescued us, yes, but then again, He seems to have also plotted out our subjugation back at the Bris Bein HaBisarim. If true, Hashem is not only our Rescuer, but He is apparently the Mastermind behind our suffering too, which seems to uncomfortably undercut His credit as our Rescuer. Is this the case? Was the Exodus just one big set-up? ● That Awkward Moment When Hashem Almost Killed Moshe: Hashem would NOT allow Moshe to decline in the mission to redeem the B'nei Yisrael from Mitzrayim. If Moshe WAS so seemingly indispensable, why would G-d "attempt" to kill him at the inn on the road back to Egypt? How does this vague, random story fit in context with the rest of the narrative? Why bother recording it?
