Yaakov lives the final 17 years of his life in Egypt. Before his passing, he asks Yosef to take an oath that he will bury him in Israel. He blesses Yosef's two sons, elevating them to the status of his sons, as tribes within the Jewish nation. Yakkov desires to reveal the date of the ultimate redemption to his children, but God prevented him from doing so. We find out why he is not allowed to reveal the date. We learn how powerful a human being is.
