Today I’m joined by Jonathan Heeter, CEO of Middle8. Born in New York and raised in Minneapolis, Jonathan moved to Beijing to study and teach, beginning a journey that would lead to more than 20 years in the international music business in China. Jonathan has held senior positions including Head of International at Warner Music China and China Marketing Director at Fender, bringing extensive experience from both the music and brand sides of the industry. I met Jonathan at the Daya concert in Shanghai, and we sat down to talk about his journey and the ever-changing Chinese music industry.
