Part 2 | He Bore Our Sins

To understand the Crucifixion and Easter you need to understand the concept of “Atonement”. Atonement is something God requires and has provided. There is another concept connected with the Atonement Sacrifice language presented in the OT - it’s the idea that someone other than I will be the Sacrifice, which atones for my sin. This concept is called Substitutionary Atonement. Jesus is the substitute sacrifice; he bore my sins in his body so that I could be atoned for and without his sacrifice I'm lost.
