The sin of presumption started in the garden. The bottom-line is that this sin is simply rebellion and the Bible demonstrates time and time again that this type of life is fruitless. Jesus said, "Apart from Me you can do nothing" (Jn 15:5), but many leaders in the Church are guilty of habitually doing "ministry" on their own, leading their congregations into spiritual ditches. We must learn what the sin of presumption is so we can avoid it at all cost and start following the Holy Spirit. Mark Biteler
