Buterin began working on Ethereum in 2013 and Thiel funded him to continue his work in 2014. In 2015, Buterin launched Ethereum and Lubin founded ConsenSys, Lubin is working with various government and “private” sector companies to develop CBDC infrastructure for the Central Banks.
