Part 6 | What genuine love always (or never) does.

from Canyon Creek Church Sermons · host Pastor Marty

For many the Heart emoji is the symbol of loving something or someone. Being “in love” is a phrase we use for the romantic sentiments of elation, euphoria and bliss, which sponsor spontaneous demonstrations of devotion and adoration. Interestingly the Valentine’s Heart, so well known in our culture, is not the Christian symbol for love. The Christian symbol for the highest kind of love is the cross of Jesus Christ. How do we love our spouses and our friends with this kind of love? The Bible provides a long list of characteristics of loving in this distinctly Christian fashion. We can do this!
