Part 8 | Elijah's Duels

Prophets like Elijah hate when they see in their nation a drifting away from wholehearted devotion to God toward syncretism to idolatry to apostasy. Elijah confronted the King and the people and then dueled to the death with the prophets of Baal and Asherah. It looked like a sweet victory and a radical heart-turn for the people and the king but in less than 24 hours Elijah is running for his life and so disappointed he wanted God to end his life. How do followers of the true God live in a world that does not honor God or seek to follow Him?
