Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is the 6th most common disability among veterans. To qualify for VA disability benefits, veterans must prove their PTSD is service-related. The VA uses both the DSM-V and their rating formula to evaluate claims. While PTSD ratings range from 0% to 100%, it's key to note that ratings should reflect the highest symptom severity, not an average.
