First Thing is First | Last month, Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu gazetted changes to be made concerning the R350 grant, effectively increasing the income threshold for the means test from R350 a month to R624, from the food poverty line. This meant that applicants who had an inflow of funds in their bank accounts of less than R624, for that particular month, would qualify to receive the grant from August 2022.
