How are you? I'm popping in to share this step-by-step guide to making sunflower jelly with the wonderful @hivefood community. Tomorrow is the day for giving yellow flowers, so I'd like to share this video of how I made this beautiful and delicious creation, which is perfect for this celebration.   ¿Sabían que cada 21 de septiembre se celebra el día de las flores amarillas? Es una costumbre bastante reciente que ha tomado bastante auge gracias a las redes sociales.   Está celebración toma como referencia esta fecha porque el 21 de septiembre comienza la primavera en el emisferio sur, en los países de sudamerica celebran está fecha con la linda y bastante nueva costumbre de regalar flores amarillas.   Está costumbre genera sobre todo en las chicas las ganas de no ser simples espectadoras y recibir sus respectivas flores amarillas, así que les recomiendo si tienen novia, pareja, alguna amiga o ser querido a quien quieran consentir les regalen flores amarillas o algún dulce que esté decorado con la temática de flores amarillas les aseguro que le alegraran mucho el día.   Did you know that every September 21st is Yellow Flower Day? It's a fairly recent tradition that has become quite popular thanks to social media.   This celebration takes its reference from this date because September 21st marks the beginning of spring in the southern hemisphere. In South American countries, they celebrate this date with the lovely and fairly new tradition of giving yellow flowers.   This custom makes girls especially eager to not be mere spectators and to receive their own yellow flowers, so I recommend that if you have a girlfriend, partner, friend, or loved one whom you want to spoil, give them yellow flowers or some candy decorated with a yellow flower theme. I assure you that it will make their day.   Yo realicé está gelatina hace un poco más de un año para el cumpleaños de una vecina y como dato curioso, tal como les comenté en el vídeo les cuento que en mis más de 12 años haciendo gelatinas me he dado cuenta que los cambures dentro de la gelatina se conservan sorprendente bien, esto es con la ayuda del ácido que ayuda a conservarlos y porque la capa de gelatina al cuajar evita que la fruta tenga contacto con el oxígeno y así queda protegida y bien preservada, por horas y hasta días sin ponerse oscura.   Está gelatina por ejemplo, yo sé la regalé a una vecina en su cumpleaños, el cual fue un día miércoles pero como la fiesta la iban a hacer el día sábado la guardaron, yo no supe nada hasta el día de la fiesta y me sorprendió mucho ver qué luego de varios días el cambur estaba intacto.   I made this jelly a little over a year ago for a neighbor's birthday, and as a fun fact, as I mentioned in the video, in my more than 12 years of making jellies, I've noticed that bananas inside jelly keep surprisingly well. This is thanks to the acid, which helps preserve them, and because the layer of gelatin that sets prevents the fruit from coming into contact with oxygen, thus protecting it and keeping it fresh for hours or even days without turning brown. For example, I gave this gelatin to a neighbor for her birthday, which was on a Wednesday, but since the party was going to be on Saturday, they stored it. I didn't know anything about it until the day of the party, and I was very surprised to see that after several days, the banana was still intact.   También escuché en algún momento que para arreglos frutales y ensaladas de frutas en que usan cambur a este le colocan jugo de limón para ayudar a conservarlo ¿Alguien había escuchado de esto? Yo sinceramente no lo he probado, pero aprovecho para contarles.   I also heard at some point that for fruit arrangements and fruit salads that use bananas, they add lemon juice to help preserve them. Has anyone heard of this?
