Pasquantino’s Hand Soreness Threatens Royals | Kansas City Royals News

Vinnie Pasquantino’s return to the field is hit with a setback—soreness in his surgically repaired right hand forces him out of Tuesday’s game against the Twins, just as he’s trying to reclaim his hitting form. The same hand that’s already weathered surgery and a broken hamate bone is now nagging him again, especially during swings, and he went 0-for-3 with a strikeout before exiting. Manager Matt Quatraro says the team’s monitoring his condition closely, with hopes of getting him back to full strength, while the Royals brace for more roster challenges as nine pitchers sit on the injured list.
