Passing On A Homesteading Legacy and Getting Started Homesteading Without Land

You are the link between your grandparents and grandchildren, don’t take that for granted! 11 Tips For Getting Started Homesteading Without Land Abraham Lincoln once said, “The greatest fine art of the future will be the making of a comfortable living from a small piece of land.” What a profound statement from Mr. Lincoln. He obviously recognized the importance of carrying out the task of self-sufficiency and sustainability from a piece of land, and I don’t think by his statement “making a comfortable living” he was only referring to financial gain but rather to provide for oneself and their family all of the necessities of life. I doubt Mr. Lincoln could ever have imagined a time when most of the skills needed to have a self-sufficient life would be unknown by the majority of the people and that many would be in a place where they did not even have a small piece of land to work with.
