As we begin to complete our series on health topics for the New Year, I wanted to bring you an extremely important component of our overall health, our spiritual health. And who better to take us through some ideas to consider in 2024 in that area than Lead Pastor of Lake Oconee Church, my friend, Andy McQuaid! Today, Andy will share with us his journey into ministry, which started for him at a surprisingly early age. He shares with us the amazing story of Lake Oconee Church, from its humble beginnings with a few folks meeting in the movie theatre on Sunday mornings, to where it is today, making a tremendous impact in our community. Andy will tell us his approach to bringing Jesus’ teaching to the community and how Lake Oconee Church fulfills its mission to inspire people to follow Jesus and Love the Lake Country! He’ll talk about the partnerships with many of the wonderful non-profit organizations that create a compounding effect of so much good work! We’ll talk about the challenges for all Churches during the pandemic and how Lake Oconee Church was able to navigate through those challenges and continue to live out their mission. We will discuss what the present, as well as the future looks like for the Lake Oconee Church. And he will give us some ideas to consider in our own spiritual journey, ideas of healing and hope and peace! And he will tell us a couple of stories that challenged his own faith and lives that he has seen transformed.
