Pastor Dave Denoon - Doing versus Receiving

PLEASE NOTE: This sound file is also available from First Church's SoundCloud homepage @FirstChurchWG For Labor Day weekend, Pastor Dave Denoon began our September series of sermons from the letter of James with James' own rarely read cry for worker justice in the letter's fifth chapter. Jesus' brother declares, "You rich people... have condemned and murdered the righteous [laborer] who does not resist you." This audio file opens with Student Minister Erick Falconer presenting our assigned reading of the day, from James 1. Before doing so, he mentions a commentary sheet prepared by the pastor which is available from our website - http://firstchurchwg.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/2018-09-02_Scripture.pdf
