Pasuram 13 Tiruppavai

from Lalitha's Morning Musings · host Lalitha Brahma

I am a slow, sensitive and self learner. My commitment to learn and record slow chanting and posting as a Podcast Episode had taught me 1. To keep my intention strong. 2. To embrace any inner critic or barrier like a friend, and accept unconditionally. Source; http://www.asayana.com/religion/18-2/ Meaning of Pasuram 13 in English  In this verse the effort is to wake up a girl with beautiful eyes, the girl appears to be sleeping lost in the thoughts of Lord Krishna, indicating that the girls were all inherently deeply devoted to the Lord and had Him in their thoughts most times, only given to laziness and reluctance to get out of their sleep in the early morning. The girls refer to the Lord as Krishna who tore up the jaws of the demon who took the form of a bird and as Rama who vanquished Ravana and destroyed his demon clan. Singing His praises the girls have gone forward to the holy place of worship, the  morning planets are visible, the birds are out to search for their food,  Oh beautiful girl, do not enjoy the thoughts of Krishna alone, come join us and let’s worship Him together. Thank you for listening and reading. Have a fantastic day!
