Reflections during my wife Pat's last visit to her parents' house, being sold tomorrow. She decided to conduct the estate sale herself after realizing that who the various items went to was important to her. We live in a very multicultural metropolis and many of the people who came were those who shared the interests of her parents, which centered on tools and cooking. We also have a substantial audience of recently arrived immigrants and refuges. My wife took this very personally and here is a ten minute interview I did outside her home on Labor Day night, 2017. Recorded with an AKG c568 microphone onto a Sound Devices 722 recorder.
