Pat Novak For Hire was a hard-boiled detective radio drama series set on the gritty San Francisco waterfront, following Pat Novak, a cynical boat rental shop owner who gets pulled into murder cases. In 'Marcia Halpern', Pat literally runs into a woman with amnesia on a rainy night who suddenly drops dead in a restaurant.
