Hola apasionados del taekwondo ¿Cómo están? El día de hoy en el podcast hablaré sobre las patadas al casco en niños pues hay mucha gente que cuestiona que sean necesarias.Mucho tiempo yo estuve en contra de que se prohibieran, sin embargo ahora le veo muchas ventajas a esto. Pero... ¿son esenciales en el taekwondo no?Si, mucho tiempo yo también pensaba que sin patadas a la cabeza simplemente no era taekwondo. Pero antes del taekwondo tenemos que pensar en los niños.El cerebro de los niños está aún en desarrollo, no está terminado por decirlo de otra manera. Recibir un impacto en la cabeza puede ser peligroso para un niño. Recibir muchos impactos durante muchos años definitivamente no es una buena idea.¿Por qué?Con o sin casco el impacto existe, el cerebro se sacude igual. El casco de alguna forma maquilla el problema porque no vemos sangre ni hay tantos nocauts, pero quizás la sangre y los nocauts sean buenos para decirnos cuando parar.Los guantes en el box reducen el número de nocauts y hacen que un combate puede durar lo que dura, el guante también ayuda a que no haya tantos sangrados y el combate se interrumpa tantas veces. Son reglas que están pensadas en el espectáculo porque son deportes para el espectador.Son cosas que no deberíamos de tener en cuenta al hablar de deporte infantil. Por eso no me gustan los nuevos cascos super protegidos, que incluso tienen un acrílico en la sección del rostro.Pueden crear una falsa sensación de seguridad y llevarnos a que los niños se golpeen la cabeza más de lo que deberían.El cuerpo humano se puede recuperar de impactos fuertes si se le da el tiempo (huesos rotos, etc), pero no evolucionó para recibir muchos impactos pequeños en la misma zona durante un periodo largo de tiempo.No evolucionó para correr maratones, ni para hacer taekwondo, ni natación, etc., así que el llevar estas actividades al máximo tendrá sus consecuencias.
