Ps Hamish said that we need to “aggressively interrogate reality.” Why do you think people find truth confronting? And what role does truth have to play in our relationship with God? (This question is designed to get your group talking about the confronting nature of truth. It’s also a chance for you to encourage people to be honest with God because it’s healthy for their intimacy with Him). 3. Read James 4:4-10 and discuss what this passage can teach us about having a real relationship with God. (This is a chance to open up the Bible and have a deeper look at scripture together. Take the time to chew on each verse and consider what relevance it has to this session’s topic).
