Welcome to Pathways Connect. For this episode; Meg, Joel, Hamish and Rodney discuss the topic of Upside down, right side up. Discussion Questions: - In your groups, read and discuss Mathew 20:1-16. - What does this parable teach us about the Kingdom of God? - Do you see yourself in this story? If so, who are you? - What principles can we learn from the fact that they were all paid equally? - Will this teaching be acceptable in the world that we live in today? Why? - Jesus was despised and rejected – His teachings are radical, His love for us is radical (John 15:13), and the way He calls us to follow Him is radical (Luke 14: 25-35). - Share and discuss times when you have been despised and rejected for being a follower of Jesus. Why is this so? Prayer Points: 1. Pray for the staff of CECC. Strength and wisdom as they fight against spiritual opposition. 2. A young dad in our church whose father recently had a stroke. Pray for healing and peace. 3. Guidance and wisdom for a man in our church who is having to help sort out an abusive relationship of a family member. 4. A young man in our church is having irregular heart fibrillations. Pray for his healing. 5.Pray for Bill and Lynne Eversham. Bill’s mum passed away recently. Pray for their peace and comfort.
