Patience

In 1 Peter 2:13–25, Peter writes to believers living under imperfect authorities and facing unjust treatment. Rather than calling for retaliation, he points them to Christ, "who suffered for you, leaving you an example." Jesus endured insults without returning them, suffered without making threats, and entrusted Himself to the Father who judges justly. Patience, then, is not passive resignation or weakness; it is the Spirit-given strength to endure hardship faithfully, trusting God with the outcome while continuing to do what is right.
