Patient Through Plagues: Hardened Hearts or Offered Lives? | Pastor Courtney Hall
from PCF Los Angeles · host Praise Christian Fellowship Los Angeles
SCRIPTURE TEXT: Exodus 11:1-10 Passover & Easter are two events that share much more than just a frequently common occurrence on the calendar. The story of God’s liberation of His children of Israel from their enslavement in Egypt and into His covenant promises of life & liberty directly portends the freedom from sin & life in the Lord offered to all in the death & resurrection of Jesus. Yet each story includes a necessary passage for patient people through many trials & perils into God’s promises. In this first of our three-part Holy Week sermon series for 2022, Pastor Court examines the patience of the Israelites through the first nine plagues of Egypt brought by God due to Pharoah’s hard heart & the Egyptians’ sin, with preparation for the tenth plague and the miraculous “passing over” of the Angel of Death by which God preserved His covenant people.
