God hears when the people or servants cry out to God. God will store up His wrath to judge and deliver when He returns. However, we should not expect to be commmended for suffering for doing wrong. If you suffer for doing what is right and suffer patiently, it is commendable to God. The people around you will recognize that it was not fair yet you did not try to get revenge. How you react to authority who are the cause of your suffering for doing right, portrays who you really are. Crying out to God and still rebelling makes your cry inaffectual. You are not doing if for your own benefit, but for the benefit of the one who wronged you so they may believe. Pastor used Daniel and King Darius as an example of doing right, accepting the punishment, and having a testimony to a heathen king.
