Jornalista e escritora com uma carreira multifacetada, Patrícia Reis entrou em 1988 no semanário O Independente, tendo posteriormente trabalhado na revista Sábado e realizado um estágio na Time em Nova Iorque. De regresso a Portugal, integrou a equipa do Expresso, produziu o programa de televisão ‘Sexualidades’ e colaborou ainda com as revistas Marie Claire e Elle e com o jornal Público.Paralelamente ao jornalismo, dedicou-se à escrita literária, publicando romances como ‘Cruz das Almas’ (2004), ‘Amor em Segunda Mão’ (2006), ‘Morder-te o Coração’ (2007) – este último finalista do Prémio Portugal Telecom de Literatura –, ‘No Silêncio de Deus’ (2008) e ‘Antes de Ser Feliz’ (2009), ‘Morder-te o Coração’ (2015), ‘A Gramática do Mundo’ (2016, com Maria Manuel Viana), ’A Construção do Vazio’ (2017), ‘Da Meia-Noite às Seis’ (2019). Escreveu também biografias, incluindo as de Vasco Santana, Maria Antónia Palla, Simone de Oliveira e, recentemente, de Maria Teresa Horta. E também uma longa série de livros infantojuvenis. Tem também uma longa experiência editorial, sobretudo na revista Egoísta.Nesta longa conversa com Pedro Almeida Vieira – no dia seguinte à morte de Maria Teresa Horta –, Patrícia Reis fala do seu percurso profissional, da sua escrita e da escrita dos escritores (e sobretudo das escritoras) que ama e sobre a força da Literatura.Entre os romances patentes na Biblioteca do PÁGINA UM, Patrícia Reis recomenda os romances ‘A Voz dos Deuses’, de João Aguiar, publicado em 1984, e ‘A Corte do Norte’, de Agustina Bessa-Luís, publicado em 1987.
