Patrick Clancy's Lawsuit Comes Down To One Number

from Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary · host True Crime Today

Patrick Clancy buried his three children in 2023, and in January 2026 he walked into a Norfolk County courthouse and became a plaintiff. Hidden Killers examines the wrongful death lawsuit he filed over the deaths of Cora, Dawson, and Callan, and the choice sitting inside it. Lindsay Clancy, who admits she killed the children, is not among the defendants. The mental health providers who treated her are. Tony walks through the four months the complaint reconstructs. Lindsay contacted psychiatrist Dr. Jennifer Tufts in September 2022 and began seeing nurse practitioner Rebecca Jollotta that November. The filing says her prescriptions were added and accelerated without a plan, that she told her providers the medications were making her worse, and that basic lab work meant to track how her body was handling the drugs never happened. By January her own provider's notes described her as deteriorating, according to the suit, and her appointments that month all ran the same short length. Her last one came the day before her children died. Patrick's filing states that with adequate care, it is more likely than not his kids would still be alive, and he put his name on that claim while prosecutors in a different county argue Lindsay planned everything. The episode covers what wrongful death actually requires a jury to find, and why the estates of the three children are themselves plaintiffs. It lays out how Patrick's suit differs from Lindsay's separate malpractice case, and what the hospitals named in both filings have said in response. The allegations are unproven and Lindsay is presumed innocent in her criminal trial. This is the lawsuit that asks whether January 24 had to happen, and a civil jury will eventually answer it.END LINKSJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
